Short version: we collect what we need to run the alpha, we keep it locked, and we don't sell it. Long version below.
What we collect on this site
When you submit the alpha application we collect: email, name (if provided), portfolio size, AirCover history, software stack, and the optional open-ended answer. We use this to qualify applicants and shape the alpha cohort.
What we collect in the app
Once you join the alpha and install Jin · Hosts on iOS, the app captures evidence photos you explicitly take. Each photo carries the iPhone camera's invisible receipt — time, place, device model. We store the original photo file in a tamper-proof vault, untouched. That's the whole point: if anyone — including us — could change it, it wouldn't be evidence anymore.
Who sees your data
Right now, three people: Henry (founder), the on-call engineer (Henry again), and whoever's reviewing your AirCover claim if you share the PDF. We don't share data with third parties for advertising, analytics enrichment, or "lookalike modeling." We use Vercel Web Analytics in privacy-preserving (no cookies, no cross-site tracking) mode.
Photos and EXIF metadata
Photos and their EXIF metadata are your data, not ours. You can export them at any time. If you leave the alpha and ask us to delete your records, we delete them within 7 days — the evidence rows, the R2 objects, and any database joins.
